Halloween in Enumclaw

Check out these pictures of the three youngest Johnsons. I reminded Paul and Rebekah that they are eighteen and fifteen (almost) years old but that did not keep them from Trick or Treating this evening. Their mother says it is good to keep the child alive in you. It isn't often but this is a case where she is wrong.

Hi guys! Wow - what costumes...Miss Rebekah - I fondly remember that one. Lindsay Clark and I spent hours sewing it, you know! You look fabulous... And Paul - you are the spitting image. I cannot believe that you carved those pumpkins like that. It is seriously amazing. And Andrew -you look good fat. That is all there is to it. Even better, a fat ballerina. Beautious.

I've missed halloween completely. Truly - there is no comparison in France. The only thing kids sort of do is march in a parade in Paris demanding candy - like the strikers of the metro. Very french. In any case. I love you all and can't wait for thanksgiving.

These costumes look great guys - I wish we could have been there with you. We went down to Bedford to see Stephanie and Hein and had a good time with them but it would have been better with you.

We also made hoot owl cookies in honor of childhood's past. Thanks mom for that fun memory.

Those are great costumes.
This brings up an interesting social question: as the population gets older on average, will the age limit on trick or treating have to be raised to satisfy demand for it? Maybe 18 will be the norm in 50 years. How about it, science?
