Enumclaw Washington is many miles from all of our large family. So when we get family visitors it is always cause for excitement. Sunday night Melanie and Spencer Johnson came to see us from Atlanta (My brother, Scott, got tied up and could not come) for a very quick trip. Spencer served in the Tacoma Mission 2007-2009 and wanted to show his Mom the places he served and introduce her to some of the people he worked with. They had a packed itinerary so we only had them for Monday morning and they agreed to spend it at our favorite place in Washington -- Mount Rainier National Park.
Melanie and Scott lived in Boston when we lived there in the eighties and we grew very close during those years. Each time we see them we realize how much we miss them. Rosie and Melanie have a great friendship and sisterhood. Here they enjoy a smile as the sun comes up on Mount Rainier.
This is one of my favorite views of Rainier with Tipsoo Lake in the foreground.
Rosie, Melanie, Spencer and Brad pause for a picture above Sunrise in Mount Rainier National Park.
It was another perfect weather day -- it's always like that in Western Washington.
