I am so excited because I got a new job as a subsutiute paraeducator with Mrs. Buck, in her preschool with children with special needs. I start work on April 12, 2010, and it will be on M-thur, in the afternoon. I am so excited, this is my dream job that i have been wanting to get, and i know right now it is substiuting but sometime in the future I hope to get a job working with the preschool or elementary age students so I got my foot in the door. In the fall I can sub full time when there are open postions with what I want to sub for. Also, I am taking 14 credits for school, four ECE classes, working at Kids Base, trianing Tuffy in which she is doign wonderful- we had a lesson from Kim today and I learned alot, pract. sign language. I have been doing a lot of homework, so I can stay on top of it and I get to do practicum hours in Mrs. Buck;s classroom, and Sam loves to play. (babysitting) I love and miss you all, and I am excited to meet Grace, and see everyone soon, Joyce and Marguerite again- all so cute and adorable. Life is good. Families are forever and I am so happy we are and tha twe are so close to one another. I am exicted to graduate soon, this summer. Thank you everyone for all of your help, support, believing in me, mom and dad for helping me be able to go to school, and you are all the best. Good luck to everyone! i am excited to see everyoen soon! I love and miss you all. have a great day.
love

A night to remember!
Rebekah attended a ball, well I guess it was more of a Prom. Four stakes in our region come together and put together a Priest/Laurel Prom. The group she went with started as a couple of couples and ended up to be 22 kids on our front stairs posing for pictures! Her date was Robbie Allen from Buckley.

Winifred Grace, Joyce & Their Grandparents
We flew to Indiana this weekend to see the newest addition, Winifred Grace, to our family. She is perfect as you can see from the photos below.
Rosie, Joyce and Grace.

Joyce has had a cold all week and John and Julie understandably did not want to pass that on to Grace. So this was the first time she hugged her new sister.
Like all newborns Grace spends most of her time sleeping, but here she is wide awake and checking things out.
It looks like Joyce is trying to give Grace her first blessing.
Over the last month Rosie has spent countless hours on this cuddly animal quilt for the new baby. She finished it the night before she flew here. I'm not sure Grace appreciates it just yet, but I suspect one day she will.
Joyce and Brad enjoy a moment with Grace.
Grace takes a little snooze.
Three generations.

Introducing Winifred Grace
Grace was born Monday morning after an intense, but short labor and delivery. Julie was amazing through it all. We had a great midwife (the same that delivered Joyce) and a great doula, a good friend of ours that has mentored Julie as a doula and childbirth educator - a laboring dream team. Joyce got to play with her friends all morning, which she was way happier about, and then came home to her new sister. The past few days have been blissful, both inside and out. Joyce and I have had some fun outings while Julie and Grace slept. Julie even felt so good after this birth that she joined us for a little walk down the street!
We're even more thrilled to have a name for our little girl. Winifred Grace Searcy. She was born on the 6 year anniversary of her great-grandma, Winifred, so we thought that name was fitting. The name Grace had been on the back of Julie's mind throughout the pregnancy and surfaced after all other names we had picked out just wasn't fitting. We think the name Grace is a beautiful blessing to give to this warm, sweet, little girl. She's just perfect!
